How do I stop taking bookings for an event?

You will have closed an event to new bookings.

Before you start

You need permission to manage the event (and to manage events you are not assigned to, the manage-all permission).

Steps

1. Open Booking → Events.
2. Press the power icon (Deactivate) on the event's row. There is no confirmation.
3. To open it again later, press the same icon (Activate).

What you will see

"Event … deactivated." The event disappears from /booking and its own page says "This service is currently unavailable". Slots stop being offered.

If something goes wrong

• Existing appointments are not cancelled or moved; handle them on the Appointments page.
• Move to Trash is refused while the event has any appointment, including cancelled and trashed ones, so an event that has ever been booked can only be deactivated.
• A trashed event can be restored unless another active event took its address meanwhile.
