How do I test a workflow before activating it?

You will know which steps would run and which paths are unresolved.

Before you start

Open the workflow in the editor with a trigger and a name.

Steps

1. In the Test run panel choose the payload source: a sample from the event catalog, or the last real run.
2. Press Run test.

What you will see

"N step(s) walked", unresolved placeholders, and "Nothing was sent — external actions were simulated."

If something goes wrong

• Only log, transform and condition steps run for real.
• Waits are reported, not waited on.
• A passing test does not prove that other plugins will do the work.
