What happens to the commission when a sale is refunded?

You will know how to treat the commission on a refunded sale.

Before you start

Only a full invoice refund is detected.

Steps

1. Open the Conversions tab and look for the "Sale refunded" badge.
2. If the conversion was pending it has already been rejected.
3. If it was approved or paid, decide what to do with the affiliate outside the system.

What you will see

Pending commissions turn Rejected automatically; approved or paid ones only get the badge and an admin notice.

If something goes wrong

• Partial refunds are ignored, and so are order cancellations that do not go through an invoice refund.
• A flagged approved conversion can still be chosen for a payout; leave it out.
• There is no way to claw back or reverse a commission that is approved or paid.
