How do I create and publish a course?

You will have a course students can find and buy.

Before you start

You need the courses write permission and a plan with course management.

Steps

1. Open Learning → All Courses and press Create Course; type a title (the slug fills in).
2. In General set price (and optional sale), categories, tags, instructors and thumbnail.
3. Add modules and lessons (see the lessons guide).
4. Set the status to Published and save, or press Publish on the list.

What you will see

"Saved!" and "Course published". The course appears in the catalogue.

If something goes wrong

• The sale price must be lower than the price and end after it starts.
• A published course with no lessons is a dead end; add content first.
• Free-preview lessons are open to everyone once published.
