Accounting → Chart of Accounts shows groups with their ledger accounts, searchable by code or name and filterable by type.
Adding
Add Group Account takes a code (up to 10), name (up to 100) and type; the normal balance follows the type. + Add Ledger Account under a group inherits type and balance. Codes only need to be unique; nothing enforces a numbering scheme. Journal entry pickers show ledger accounts only, so a missing account is usually a group.
Deleting
Refused for system accounts, groups with children, accounts with journal lines and accounts behind a bank account. There is no way to rename or deactivate an account here. The list is cached for 20 seconds, so a new account may take a moment to appear in pickers.
Analytic dimensions
The second tab lists a dimension's values (code, label, linked entity, active), New Value, activate/deactivate, and Account Rules (which accounts require a dimension in slot 1 or 2). A customer dimension links a CRM customer. A line missing a required dimension is refused: "An analytic dimension value is required in slot N for this account."
Bills and cheques made on screen do not send a supplier or customer, so they use the shared "Unassigned" value and per-party balances for them are empty.
