Theme

Applying a theme can replace the home page and reset brand colours, and the visitor dark-mode switch does not appear until you place a toggle widget.

How the whole site looks: which theme it uses, and the colours, fonts, widths and header behaviour that theme is set up with. The tab has four groups: Select Theme, Foundations, Page Layout and Header and Advanced.

Each card shows its name, a Free, Unlocked or Locked badge, and an Active badge on the current one.

Apply asks two questions, both ticked by default:

  • Replace the home page and theme pages. Leaving it ticked overwrites your current home page with the theme's.
  • Reset brand colours.

Untick what you want to keep before confirming.

A locked theme still shows an Apply button; applying it fails because the theme is locked for your plan. A theme limited to certain domains fails the same way elsewhere.

On the theme that is applied, Reset to Default lets you choose what to reset: home content, header, footer and menus, and style settings.

Settings belong to a theme

Theme settings are stored per theme. Switching theme gives you the new theme's settings, and switching back brings the old ones back.

Foundations

  • 13 colours: page background, card, fill, three text levels, two borders, success, danger, warning, info and the accent gradient.
  • Heading and body fonts.
  • A type scale of 7 sizes.
  • Corner radius, set with preset buttons.

Only colours have a separate dark-mode value.

Fonts

The Body Font and Heading Font change the whole site: every page, the store and other plugin pages, and the page editor. The admin panel uses the body font for everything. A heading font left on Inherit from theme follows the body font.

Persian fonts: Vazirmatn with Persian digits (the default on a Persian site), Vazirmatn with Latin digits, Sahel, Samim, Shabnam, and Lalezar for headings only. The Persian-digit fonts show every number in Persian digits, except a digit inside a Latin word such as "Gold3D" or "4K". Latin fonts: Geist, Inter, Sora, Manrope, DM Sans and Poppins; Persian text in a Latin font shows in Vazirmatn.

Page Layout

Three container widths: Wide, Normal and Narrow, defaulting to 1280, 1100 and 720 pixels.

Dark mode

The dark-mode policy is one of: light only, dark only, or visitor chooses.

With "visitor chooses", visitors get no switch until you place the Theme toggle widget in the header or footer. A warning shows on this tab while none is placed.

  • Sticky and transparent switches, and the colour the header takes once the visitor scrolls.
  • Mobile bottom navigation, shown on mobile only or on mobile and tablet, with a link to edit its menu (up to 4 buttons). The button of the page being viewed is highlighted, as in any menu.

Advanced

Reset the theme settings, export or import them as a JSON file, or edit the raw tokens. Unknown keys and invalid values are dropped when you save.

Two resets, two meanings. Resetting here leaves the logo, title, tagline and accent colours alone. The gallery's reset of styles does clear the brand accent colours.

Who can save

Applying a theme, saving tokens, saving header settings and resetting each need permission to edit content and permission to edit site settings. The Save button can look available to someone without them; the server refuses.
