Social

One post, several destinations; each publishes and fails on its own. What each network can really carry, and what is per-person.

Write once and publish to your connected social accounts.

One post, several destinations

A post has one body and one destination per account you tick. Each destination publishes, retries and fails separately. The post's status is the sum: Published when all are, Failed when all failed, Partial when some published and the rest failed or are still waiting.

Everything is per person

Accounts, posts and the dashboard numbers belong to the staff member who made them. Another staff member sees none of yours, even with the same permissions.

What each network can carry

  • X: text only, up to 280 characters. LinkedIn: text only, up to 3,000. Attached media is dropped silently.
  • Facebook: text, one photo or several photos, up to 63,206 characters.
  • Instagram: exactly one image is required, caption up to 2,200.
  • The composer has no media picker, so a post made on screen is text only. A post to Instagram made here always fails.

Publishing

Publish Now and scheduled posts are picked up by a background worker that checks every minute, so "now" can take up to a minute. A failing destination is tried three times, after 1, 5 and 15 minutes. Errors that cannot be fixed by waiting (expired login, missing permission, rate limit, policy refusal) are not retried. Scheduling and publishing need a plan that includes them; if the plan lapses the queue waits and publishes after it is restored.

Connections expire

An account is marked Expired only after a publish attempt is refused for a bad login; the date shown on the account is informational and nothing renews it. X logins last about two hours and are never refreshed, so X accounts stop working shortly after connecting and need Connect again. The dashboard shows how many accounts need reconnecting.

What is not here

No analytics, comments or inbox for social networks, no media attachments from the screen, no drafts list (a draft without a date appears nowhere on the calendar), no approval flow.
