Contacts

A contact is a person, not an account; mobile or email is required, linking to a customer is optional, and trashing keeps the link.

A contact is a person: someone who works for, or is associated with, a customer. It is the platform's phone book, and it is not a login: linking a contact to a customer gives no portal access.

The list

Columns: ID, name, mobile, phone, email, company (the linked customer), active badge, created. Filters: ID, name, mobile, email, company and a date range. Ten per page; Active and Trash tabs. The only bulk action is Move to Trash.

Adding and editing

Required: first and last name (up to 60 characters each) and at least one of mobile or email. Optional: phone, national ID (checked as 10 digits only in the Farsi admin), a note, and Assign to company, which links an existing customer and a position (up to 80 characters).

Duplicates

A mobile, email or national ID already used by an active contact blocks saving, with one generic message that does not say which field clashed. When restoring from the Trash the message does name the field.

The detail page

A timeline of the last 100 items: notes, calls, emails and meetings. Adding to it needs the contact-write permission; bookings also write meetings here. You can summarise the timeline with AI, and send an email from the edit page.

One contact, one customer

A contact links to at most one customer, and a customer can have several contacts. The link is optional; a contact can stand alone.

Delete means trash

Deleting moves the contact to the Trash and keeps its link and position, so restoring brings them back. Restoring is refused if its mobile, email or national ID is now used by an active contact. Delete permanently needs the purge permission.
