Commerce & Sales

Four read-only report pages (dashboard, funnel, revenue, sales) built from CRM, invoices, estimates and store subscriptions. Nothing is recorded here.

One view of how sales are going, from a lead to money that has actually arrived. This is the dashboard page; the other three are Funnel, Revenue and Sales.

Nothing is recorded here

The only thing you can change on these pages is which cards the dashboard shows. Every number is read from other places: leads, contacts and customers from CRM; invoices, payments, refunds and write-offs from Invoices; estimates from Estimates; subscription prices from the store (for MRR).

A number that looks wrong is almost always showing data in the place it came from. Fix it there.

The dashboard

Four cards by default, each linking to the page it reports on. You can add, remove and reorder cards; the choice is saved for you only.

  • Total revenue: money received on invoices, minus refunds, in the install currency, all time. The line under it shows the last 30 days.
  • Outstanding: what is still owed on invoices that are sent, overdue or partly paid (total minus paid minus write-offs). Drafts are not included. The line under it shows how much of that is already overdue.
  • Total invoices: every invoice that is not in the trash, drafts and cancelled ones included.
  • Total estimates: every estimate that is not in the trash, with how many are still awaiting an answer.

Below the cards: a six-month revenue line, an estimates-to-paid funnel, and two status charts.

Two buttons at the top start a New estimate or a New invoice.

Why numbers differ between pages

  • The dashboard cards count the install currency only. The Funnel and Revenue pages add up every currency and show the result with the site currency symbol.
  • The dashboard revenue line dates a partly paid invoice by when it was created; the Revenue page chart dates each payment by the day it was received.
  • The dashboard invoice chart and revenue line read the 200 most recent invoices of the last six months. A busier business sees them capped.
  • Reports are cached for about a minute and a half, so a correction made elsewhere can take that long to appear.

Who can see it

Each page has its own permission (commerce.dashboard.read, commerce.funnel.read, commerce.revenue.read, commerce.sales.read), and the whole plugin needs a plan that includes commerce analytics. Admins have all of them; editors do not, unless you grant it.

A banner appears when Invoices or Estimates is locked on your plan. In that case a zero means "locked", not "nothing".

Which page answers which question

Dashboard: the overall state. Funnel: where you lose people. Revenue: when money arrived and from whom. Sales: which estimates need a push today.
