Memberships

How grants arise, granting by hand, extending and revoking, how expiry really works, and what the customer sees.

How grants arise

  • Buying a Membership product creates a grant when the order settles, ending after the product's duration in days (blank is lifetime).
  • A subscription creates a lifetime grant, revoked when the subscription is cancelled, deleted at Stripe or fully refunded.
  • Grant Membership adds one by hand: pick a registered customer and a published membership product, set Expires On (blank for lifetime) and an internal note. There is no free-text email field, and nobody is notified.

The list

The newest 100, with search by email or product, a status filter and Customer, Product, Status, From and Expires columns. Filters run on the loaded rows only.

Extend and revoke

Extend sets the expiry to the date you give (it does not add time); blank means lifetime. An expired grant becomes active again if the new date is in the future. A revoked grant is not reactivated, even though the button shows. Revoke takes access away immediately and tells nobody.

Expiry

There is no scheduled job. A grant's access ends at its end date regardless; the stored status only flips to Expired when the admin list or the customer's Memberships page is opened.

What the customer sees

Their portal Memberships page (email verification required) lists Active and Expired / Revoked memberships with start, expiry or "Lifetime access". A grant matches the customer by account, or by verified email or phone through its order.
