Invoice settings

Default tax and due days, the number format and its restart rule, named number series, PDF footer and logo, and the refund SMS switch.

One set of settings for the whole install. You need invoices.settings.read to open the page and invoices.settings.write to save.

Defaults for new invoices

  • Default tax rate (%): used when a new invoice is created with the tax field left empty. Typing 0 means zero tax.
  • Default due days: the due date given to a new invoice when you do not pick one. 0 means no automatic due date.

These apply to invoices created by hand. Invoices that other plugins create keep their own values.

Number format

Number format is built from {seq} (the counter; {seq:4} pads to 0001) and date parts {YYYY} {YY} {MM} {DD} or the Jalali {jYYYY} {jYY} {jMM} {jDD}. The format must contain {seq} exactly once. Restart numbering (never, every year, every month) needs a matching date part in the format and cannot mix Jalali and Gregorian parts. Start numbering at sets the first number. Numbers already issued keep their format.

Number series

Give a line of business its own run, for example WD-0001 for Website Design (up to 40 series). Each has a name, a format, a restart rule and a start number. You pick the series once in the New Invoice dialog and the number never changes afterwards. A saved series cannot be removed, only archived (hidden from the picker). Changing a saved series' format starts a new counter, so old and new numbers cannot be found with one search. Two active series cannot share a format.

PDF and notifications

  • Footer notes are printed at the bottom of every PDF (up to 1000 characters).
  • Show logo on PDF includes the site logo in the header. The logo, seller name, address and tax ID come from the site brand profile, not from here.
  • Refund SMS texts the customer when a refund is recorded. It needs an SMS provider that can send free text and costs per message; the refund email is always sent.

Currency

The invoice currency is the site currency, set under regional settings; there is no currency field here.
