You will have brought an earlier version of one language's texts back as its draft.
Before you start
You need the Translate CMS Content permission or permission to write content. Save or discard any unsaved edits first: restoring is not offered while there are unsaved changes ("Save or discard your edits before restoring a version").
Steps
- Open the page's translation editor (Pages list → Translate) and choose the language.
- Press History.
- Each entry shows when it was kept, why ("Saved draft", "Published" or "Before a restore") and how many texts it holds.
- Press Restore as draft on the version you want.
- Check the result, then press Publish if it should go live.
What you will see
The restored texts appear as the language's draft. The version that was there before the restore is itself kept in History ("Before a restore"), so you can go back again. The live page does not change until you publish.
If something goes wrong
- "No earlier versions yet": History starts with the first save after this was introduced, and a save that changes nothing is not kept.
- The last 30 versions of each language are kept.
- This restores one language's texts. Restoring the page's layout is a different tool: see "How do I restore an earlier version of a page?".
