Translations

How do I translate the texts that are missing in a language?

List the untranslated texts for a language and fill them in, using the AI draft as a starting point.

You will have filled in texts that had no translation in one language.

Before you start

You need the Edit Translations permission. The AI draft also needs an AI provider set up on the site.

Steps

  1. Open Translations, choose the language, and tick Only missing. Optionally choose a Namespace, for example the part flagged on the coverage page.
  2. Press Edit on the first row.
  3. To get a draft, press Suggest with AI. It fills your box and says which provider and model wrote it.
  4. Read the draft, fix the wording and make sure placeholders such as {name} are untouched.
  5. Press Save, then go on to the next row.

What you will see

Each saved row switches from Missing to Override, and drops out of the list while Only missing is ticked.

If something goes wrong

  • The AI draft is never saved for you. If you close the editor without pressing Save, nothing changes.
  • If no AI provider is set up, the button shows an error. Type the translation yourself.
  • Check placeholders yourself; the draft is only asked to keep them.
  • The list shows up to 100 rows at a time. After saving, the rest remain.
