How do I add a product?

You will have a published product customers can buy.

Before you start

You need permission to manage products, and a plan that includes the store catalogue.

Steps

1. Open Store → Products and press New Product.
2. Enter the Product Name, check the URL (slug) and enter the Price, then press Create Product.
3. In the editor, choose the Product Type (a simple product suits most things), and write the Description.
4. Tick the Categories and add Tags. Set a Primary category if you like.
5. Add the Featured image and gallery images.
6. Set stock, shipping class and tax class if needed.
7. Set Status to Published and press Save.

What you will see

"Product saved." The product appears on the storefront at /store/products/your-slug. Use View on site to check it.

If something goes wrong

• A new product is always a draft in Uncategorized; shoppers cannot see it until you publish.
• A slug or SKU already used by another live product is refused.
• Changing the slug later breaks old links, because there are no redirects.
• There are no SEO fields; the page title and description come from the name and description.
