You will have estimates numbered the way you want, with each line of business on its own run.
Before you start
You need permission to edit estimate settings. Numbers already issued keep their format.
Steps
- Open Estimates → Settings.
- In Number format, build the pattern from
{seq}(once only;{seq:4}pads to 0001) and date parts such as{YYYY}or the Jalali{jYYYY}. The Example line previews it. - Set Restart numbering (never, every year, every month; it needs the matching date part in the format) and Start numbering at.
- For separate runs, press Add series: give it a name, format and start number.
- In Converts into, pick the invoice series that converted estimates from this series should be numbered from.
- Press Save settings.
What you will see
New estimates use the format. With series defined, New estimate offers a Number series picker, used once at creation.
If something goes wrong
- The page names the problem: the format needs
{seq}exactly once, a restart needs a date part, and two active series cannot share a format. - Saved series can only be archived, not removed. Changing a saved series' format starts a new counter.
- If no invoice series exist, Converts into offers only the default invoice format; add invoice series in Invoices → Settings.
