Learning → Grading Queue lists assignment submissions, 25 a page. Filter by student, course, lesson and status (Submitted, Graded, Returned).
Marking
Press Grade: you see the submitted text and an attachment link. Enter a Score (0 to 1000, optional) and Feedback (up to 10,000), choose Mark graded or Return to student, and save.
What it does and does not do
- Submitting completes the lesson immediately. Grading is bookkeeping and never gates progress.
- The score and feedback are not shown to the student anywhere, and no email is sent. The only effect is an event automations can react to. "Return to student" has no student-facing effect either.
- Every resubmission is a new row, so the queue keeps history.
- Quizzes are marked automatically and never appear here.
- Students without a portal account can submit text only (up to 20,000 characters); attaching a file needs a portal account.
