This area holds the people you sell to, and the work around them: leads, contacts, customers, tasks and a calendar.
Three records that are easy to mix up
A lead is someone who is not a customer yet: an inbound enquiry, a submitted form, a phone call. Leads are deliberately light.
A customer is the central record. Invoices, estimates, store orders, bookings, support tickets and portal access all attach to a customer, never to a lead or a contact. Converting a lead lands here.
A contact is a person who works for, or is associated with, a customer: the platform's phone book. One customer can have several contacts.
Every customer, whether a business account, a store buyer or someone who signs in to the portal, has one record. Business details and the portal account live together on it.
Format checks follow the admin language
Iranian format rules (mobile 09xxxxxxxxx, 10-digit national ID and postal code, the 31-province list) are enforced only when the admin panel is in Farsi. In another language those fields accept any value, whatever the country of the data. Email syntax is always checked.
Duplicates
A phone or email already in use blocks saving. Leads are compared with active leads only (not customers or contacts); customers with other live customers; contacts with active contacts (mobile, email and national ID). Deleted rows are ignored, so trashing a lead frees its phone and email, which can later block restoring it. Messages for customers and contacts do not say which field clashed.
Trash
Leads, contacts, tasks and calendar events go to a Trash first and can be restored. Permanently deleting is a separate permission. Customers have no Trash: deleting is permanent and is refused while invoices, orders, tickets, subscriptions or wishlist items reference them, so use Deactivate instead.
The dashboard
The CRM page opens with cards you choose and arrange yourself (saved per person). Defaults: total leads, customers, contacts and open tasks, plus bookings if that module is installed. Each card needs the matching read permission. Below are panels: a lead pipeline by status, "My recent activity", recent customers and contacts, and booking appointments. "Today's tasks" is not limited to today: it shows the 8 most recent tasks in your scope, done ones included. Quick-access tiles are shortcuts you can customise.
Permissions
The Admin role has every CRM permission; the Editor role has none, so editors see no CRM until it is granted. Reading tasks is narrower than the rest: without the "read all tasks" permission a person sees only tasks they created or were assigned. Editing a task needs being its creator or the "manage all tasks" permission. Some actions (task deletion, creating and deleting leads and contacts) are plan features and show a lock when your plan lacks them.
