You will have switched the site to another theme and decided whether your home page and brand colours are replaced.
Before you start
You need permission to edit content and the site-settings Edit permission. If your home page matters, first save a copy of the theme settings: under Advanced in this tab, export them as a JSON file.
Steps
- Open Site Settings and choose Theme.
- In Select Theme, find the theme you want.
- Press Apply.
- In the confirmation you get two options, both ticked: Replace the home page and theme pages and Reset brand colours. Untick whatever you want to keep.
- Confirm.
What you will see
The theme shows an Active badge. If you left the first option ticked, your home page was replaced by the theme's.
If something goes wrong
- A locked theme still shows Apply, but fails because it is locked for your plan.
- Theme settings are stored per theme; switching back to the old theme brings its settings back.
- Reset to Default, on the applied theme, lets you choose what to reset: home content, header, footer and menus, or style settings.
