Warehouses

The warehouse list and page, transfers between warehouses, who can see which warehouse, and why a warehouse that was ever used cannot be deleted.

The list

Filters (Name, Location, created dates), 10 per page. Columns: name, location, number of items, quantity on hand. New Warehouse needs only a name; a new warehouse is invisible to users who are access-restricted until they are granted it.

The warehouse page

A KPI strip (Total SKUs, Qty On Hand, Low Stock, Linked Stores) and tabs: Overview, Inventory (every item with on hand, reserved and available, plus row actions Outbound, Inbound, Adjust, Transfer and History), Transactions, Purchase Orders and Settings (name, location, delete, and access).

Stock lives in the pair

A stock figure always belongs to an item in a warehouse; the total is a sum. A transfer consumes layers at the source and creates one layer, at the average cost, at the destination, with a Transfer Out and a Transfer In movement.

Deleting

A warehouse cannot be deleted if any purchase order, movement, cost layer or stock record points at it. Emptying it is not enough, because the movements stay. Only a warehouse that was never used can be deleted; leave an old one alone.

Warehouse access

In Settings → Warehouse Access you grant users access (needs the manage-access permission and a plan that includes it). A user with no grants and no All warehouses tick (admins always see everything) sees no warehouse. Granting a first warehouse limits them to the granted ones; revoking their last grant leaves them with none. A user whose granted warehouses were all deleted sees none.

Scoped by access: warehouse lists and pages, movements, per-item stock, low stock, reorder and most reports. Not scoped: the Items list quantity and an item's total value, three reports, and store orders, which reserve and ship from any warehouse.
