You will have replaced the wording of one email, in one language, with your own.
Before you start
You need the Manage permission for email templates, and the Manage feature must be in your plan. Know which language the recipients read, because the language tab you edit is the version you change.
Steps
- Open Email Templates and search for the email by name, key or group.
- Choose the language tab (EN, FA and so on) for the version you want to change.
- Edit the subject and, if you use it, the preheader.
- Edit the body blocks: change the text, move blocks with the arrows, or add one from + Add block.
- Check the preview beside the editor.
- Press Save.
What you will see
The language's dot on the template's row lights up to show an override exists (only EN and FA have dots). The next email sent uses your wording.
If something goes wrong
- Save is disabled until you change something.
- Keep the
{{variables}}the email needs; see How do I use a variable in an email? - The tab you edit does not decide the language of what is sent: the sender picks it, from the recipient where it knows it, otherwise the site's default language.
- Some templates go to staff and some carry passwords (trial and support-credential emails); edit those with care.
