Form Studio

The full-screen form editor: fields, settings per field, steps, the submit button and what happens on submit.

The Studio is the page editor with a form-specific set of elements. Everything is saved with the Save button, and the public form changes at once.

Fields

Drag a field onto the canvas or click it in the palette. The field types are: Text, Email, Phone, URL, Number, Long text, Dropdown, Radio, Checkboxes, Switch, Date, File upload, Rating, NPS, Signature, and the display-only Heading, Paragraph, Divider and Hidden. The order on the canvas is the order of the answers.

Every field's settings: Label, Placeholder (not for display fields, rating, NPS, signature or switch), Helper text (for a Paragraph, this is the text shown), Step (only when there is more than one step), Field key, Required, and Show when. Text-like fields (text, long text, URL, email, phone, number) add minimum length, maximum length and a pattern. Dropdown, radio and checkboxes add the option list. File upload adds accepted types (JPEG, PNG, PDF; none ticked means all three) and a maximum size (default 10 MB, at most 25 MB), one file per field.

The Field key names the answer in the table, CSV, emails and show-when rules. Leave it blank for an automatic key. Do not change it once the form has submissions: old answers stay under the old key and vanish from the table.

There are no settings for date or number ranges, number of rating stars, or a hidden field's value; the server only enforces required, length, pattern and show-when.

Show when

Add rules of "field, is / is not / contains / > / <, value". Several rules must all match; there is no "or". Values are compared as typed text, so for a rating or NPS answer use > and < rather than "is". A field that is hidden is skipped by validation and its answer is not stored. A rule with no field chosen is dropped on save.

Steps

In the form's own settings, Steps has the step names, with × and Add step. Each field picks its step. Visitors see "Step 1 of N" with Back, Continue and Submit; each step is checked before Continue. After removing a step, check that no field still points at it.

Submit button and result

Form width, button label, colours, icon and icon position, placement (split, start, centre, end) and full width. Success message shows after submit (default "Thanks — we received your submission."). Redirect URL sends the visitor to another page instead; it is not checked for validity and replaces the success message.

On submit

"Save to database" is always on. Create CRM lead maps fields to lead columns (see the CRM how-to). Email notification takes one address. POST to webhook takes one URL.

The email and webhook have no subject, header or retry controls, and editing the recipient or URL resets any such value from imported data. The webhook is waited on for up to 10 seconds before the visitor sees success.
