How do I ban a member?

You will have blocked a member from taking part.

Before you start

You need the manage-members permission and a plan with community moderation.

Steps

1. Open Community → Members and find the person.
2. Press Ban and confirm.

To reverse it, press Approve on the same row.

What you will see

The status shows Banned. They lose every space and cannot write; their profile and directory entry disappear.

If something goes wrong

• Their posts and comments stay. Delete posts on the Posts screen.
• No reason is recorded and the member is not told.
• Approving them sends the "you are in" email again.
