Courses

Create, publish and trash courses; the editor, lessons, access scheduling and what students can still open.

Learning → All Courses lists courses, 25 a page, with Title, Slug and Status filters and Active | Trash tabs.

List

Columns: Title, Slug, Status, Price (with a Sale badge while a sale runs), Updated. Row actions: View (published only), Edit, Publish / Unpublish, Move to Trash. A trashed course disappears from the catalogue and students cannot open it; enrollments, progress and certificates are kept. Restore brings it back as a draft. Delete forever is refused while any enrollment or purchase exists.

Editor

Tabs General and Modules. General: title, slug, description, prerequisites text, price and sale (the sale price must be lower and end after it starts), categories, tags, instructors, thumbnail, status (Draft, Published, Archived), Featured, and delivery mode (Self-paced or Cohort).

Modules: add, rename, reorder (arrows or drag) and delete. A module cannot be deleted once any learner has progress or graded work under it, or discussion threads exist. Each lesson has Edit in Studio and Access & scheduling: content type (Text, Video, File download, Quiz, Assignment, Live session), unlock date, unlock N days after enrollment, one prerequisite lesson, free preview.

The lesson editor is not the page builder: its elements are text, video embed, file download, and quiz question and option.

AI help

"Draft with AI" can propose an outline and a quiz; results are reviewed and appended, never replacing, and need an AI-enabled plan.

Good to know

  • A prerequisite loop between two lessons is refused, but longer loops and prerequisites from other courses are not, and lock the lesson for good.
  • Draft, archived and trashed courses cannot be opened by their enrolled students either.
  • Publishing makes the course purchasable; free-preview lessons are open to everyone.
