Social

Social links are plain public URLs; the OAuth apps below them are credentials for posting on your behalf, and are separate from customer sign-in.

The tab has two sections that look related and are not.

One address field per network, 19 in all: Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, WhatsApp, Telegram, Threads, Pinterest, Snapchat, Reddit, GitHub, Discord, Twitch, Spotify, Medium, Behance and Dribbble. There is one Save button.

  • Blank fields are dropped.
  • Each address must be a full URL, starting with https://, and at most 2048 characters. The site keeps at most 20 links.
  • You cannot add a network that is not in the list.
  • If the live chat is set to show contact channels and you have set no channel links there, up to 8 of these links feed the chat widget instead.

Viewing needs the site-settings View permission and saving needs Edit.

Social OAuth apps

These are the credentials of the apps the platform uses to publish to your social accounts: Meta (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn and X. Needs Manage domains and credentials.

Each form shows a Configured or Not configured status, the redirect addresses to register in the provider's developer console (/api/social/oauth/<network>/callback; Meta has one for Facebook and one for Instagram), and a masked preview of what is stored.

  • All fields are required, each up to 512 characters. To change one, enter all of them again, the ID included.
  • Clear credentials deletes them straight away, with no confirmation.
  • Credentials are stored encrypted and are never shown again.

These are not customer sign-in

Social OAuth is for posting. Letting customers sign in with Google is set on the Customer accounts tab.
