You will have a bookable event that guests see, book and are mailed about in their own language.
Before you start
The site needs a second language. You need Translate Booking Calendars (booking.translate) or permission to edit events (for an event you are assigned to, or all events if you can manage all).
Steps
- Open Booking → Events and edit the event.
- Under the event's form find the Languages card and pick the language.
- Fill in the name, description, cancellation policy and the label of each custom question, under each original.
- Save the language.
What you will see
The booking page, the confirmation and manage pages and the list of events show the translated texts; the cancellation policy is shown before booking, after booking and when a guest is about to cancel. A custom question's identifier and a guest's earlier answers do not change: only the label does.
The language the guest booked in is saved on the appointment. Their confirmation, reminder, cancellation and rescheduling emails and SMS, the manage link (/fa/booking/manage/...), the page they return to after paying, and the calendar file name the event in that language. If a guest booked in a language the site does not serve, the site's default language is used.
If something goes wrong
- The card is hidden when the site has one language or you may not translate.
- Staff alerts keep the original name.
- Appointments made before the language was recorded use the site's default language.
- The booking flow's own words (First name, Provider, Payment method, the steps) come in all six languages automatically.
