How do I see what changed since I translated a page?

Find the texts whose original was edited after they were translated, and confirm or rewrite them.

You will have checked every translation whose original text changed, and kept or rewritten each one.

Steps

  1. Open the page's translation editor (Pages list → Translate) and choose the language.
  2. In the filter row press Original changed. Only the texts whose original was edited after you translated them are shown.
  3. For each one, read the original and your translation, then either:
    • press Still correct to say the translation still fits, or
    • change the translation, or press Clear to remove it (the original shows until you write a new one).
  4. Press Save draft, then Publish.

What you will see

A text marked Original changed leaves that filter once you confirm or rewrite it. Until you do, the old translation keeps showing on the live page: nothing is hidden because the original changed.

If something goes wrong

  • If you press Save draft on a text whose original changed again while you were working, you are told to reload and see the current text.
  • Replacing a picture's original also shows Original changed on that language's own picture, which keeps showing.
  • Machine (AI) text that is out of date is replaced when you run Translate with AI again; a person's text is never replaced.
