How do I write and publish a blog post?

You will have a post visitors can read at its blog address.

Before you start

You need permission to write content and a plan that includes the blog. The active theme must show the blog.

Steps

1. Open Content → Blog and press New Post.
2. Enter the Title; click the Slug box to fill it from the title.
3. Write the body, add an Excerpt and a Featured Image.
4. Tick Categories, add Tags, and under Authors choose the byline.
5. Open the SEO section: Meta title, Meta description and, if wanted, noindex.
6. Set Status to Published and press Create Post (or Save Changes).

What you will see

"Post created". The post is live at its address if the date is not in the future. Use the list's view link to check it.

If something goes wrong

• Draft, Scheduled and Archived posts show "page not found" to visitors.
• A duplicate slug is refused ("A blog post with this URL slug already exists.").
• A published post with no category is filed under Uncategorized, which is hidden from the public.
• The site caches posts for about two minutes.
• AI Draft replaces the whole body when applied.
