How do I archive a space?

You will have taken a space out of use.

Before you start

You need the manage-spaces permission. Archiving cannot be undone from the admin screens.

Steps

1. Open Community → Spaces.
2. Press Archive on the space and confirm.

What you will see

The space leaves the public directory and its address shows "Space not found". The posts are kept.

If something goes wrong

• There is no screen to reactivate it. Ask a developer to set its status through the API if you must bring it back.
• Archived spaces still appear in the admin list and the Posts filter.
