You will have decided whether new members start active or wait for you.
Before you start
You need the community settings permission and a plan with community management.
Steps
- Open Community → Settings.
- Choose Open to let people in at once, or Approval required to review them.
- Press save.
What you will see
"Settings saved." New joiners follow the mode; existing members stay as they are.
If something goes wrong
- Invite only is the same as approval required: nothing sends invitations.
- The Welcome message is not shown to members.
- Switching to Open does not approve people already Pending; approve them yourself.
