How do I create a space?

You will have a new space members can post in.

Before you start

You need the manage-spaces permission and a plan with community management. If you want tier gates, create the tiers first.

Steps

1. Open Community → Spaces and press New space.
2. Type the Name. Leave Slug blank to have it made for you.
3. Pick Type and Visibility.
4. Tick Tier gates if only some tiers may enter. Leave them empty for everyone eligible.
5. Add a Description and press Create.

What you will see

"Space created." and you return to the list, where View opens the space.

If something goes wrong

• Public spaces ignore tier gates. To use gates, choose Members or Private, or tick Require member access.
• "This name has no usable slug characters" means type a slug yourself.
• A slug already in use is refused.
