How do I create a coupon?

You will have a code customers can use at checkout.

Before you start

You need permission to manage coupons.

Steps

1. Open Store → Coupons and press New Coupon.
2. Type the Coupon Code (it is uppercased).
3. Choose the Discount Type: Percent, Fixed Amount (Cart) or Fixed Amount (Per Product), then enter the Percent Off or Amount Off.
4. Optionally set Min Order, Usage Limit, Start Date and End Date.
5. Press Create Coupon.

What you will see

The coupon appears in the list with its used count. Use the power button to switch it on or off, and Edit to change it.

If something goes wrong

• "A coupon with this code already exists."
• A percent must be a whole number from 0 to 100.
• One code per order; coupons do not stack, and there is no free-shipping type.
• A buyer using a code that is expired, not started, over its limit or below the minimum is refused at payment, not charged full price.
• To remove a limit or date later, clear the field on the edit form.
