How do I show a field only in some cases?

You will have a field that appears only when an earlier answer matches.

Before you start

Add the field it depends on first, and give it a clear key.

Steps

1. Select the field to hide and open Show when.
2. Press Add rule, choose the other field, an operator (is, is not, contains, >, <) and type the value.
3. Add more rules if needed; all must match.
4. Save and test on the public form.

What you will see

The field appears only while every rule is true.

If something goes wrong

• There is no "or".
• Values are compared as text; for rating and NPS use > and <.
• A hidden field is not required and its answer is not stored, so the CSV is blank for it.
• A rule left without a field is dropped when you save.
