How do I add a warehouse?

You will have a place to receive and hold stock.

Before you start

You need permission to manage inventory.

Steps

1. Open Inventory → Warehouses and press New Warehouse.
2. Enter the Name (for example "Main Warehouse") and, if you like, a Location.
3. Save.

What you will see

"Warehouse created." It appears in the list with no items. Stock arrives by receiving a purchase order into it, an inbound or a transfer.

If something goes wrong

• A user who is limited to certain warehouses will not see the new one until you grant it in the warehouse's Settings → Warehouse Access.
• A warehouse that has ever been used cannot be deleted, so name it carefully.
