How do I limit a user to certain warehouses?

You will have a user who works only with the warehouses you chose.

Before you start

You need the permission to manage warehouse access, and a plan that includes it. A user with no grants sees no warehouse unless they are an admin or you ticked All warehouses for them (on their user page).

Steps

1. Open Inventory → Warehouses and open a warehouse the user should keep.
2. Go to the Settings tab and find Warehouse Access.
3. Under Grant access to, pick the user and press Grant.
4. Repeat on each warehouse they should keep.

To undo, press Revoke next to the user. Revoking their last grant leaves them with no warehouse. To give someone everything, tick All warehouses on their user page.

What you will see

"Access granted." The user now sees only the granted warehouses in warehouse lists, movements, per-item stock, low stock, reorder and most reports.

If something goes wrong

• The first grant limits the user to "only these". Grant every warehouse they need before telling them.
• Not limited by this: an item's own detail views, and store orders, which reserve and ship from any warehouse.
• A user whose granted warehouses are all deleted sees none.
• Creating a warehouse does not grant it to anyone.
