How do I connect an SMS provider and send a test?

You will have connected the service that sends sign-in codes and text messages, and tested it.

Before you start

You need the Manage domains and credentials permission, the provider's credentials, and a phone number to test with. A test message is real and costs what a real message costs.

Steps

1. Open Site Settings and choose SMS.
2. Choose the provider. A Farsi default language lists Melipayamak Console, Melipayamak Dedicated Line and the LogaTech OTP subscription; any other lists Twilio, Vonage and Plivo.
3. Fill in every credential field.
4. Save. The section then shows "Configured" and a masked preview.
5. Enter your phone number under Send test SMS and send it.

What you will see

You receive a message. For a provider that works only with patterns, you receive a six-digit code instead of the test text; that means it worked.

If something goes wrong

• To change even one field later, enter all fields again.
• The LogaTech OTP subscription has no fields and fails to save unless this install is connected to LogaTech.
• If the provider you expect is missing, check the default language on Language & Format.
• Clear deletes the credentials without asking.
