A list of terms that Translate with AI respects everywhere on the site: pages, posts, products, courses, forms, booking and the rest.
Two kinds of entry
- Never translated: a brand, a product line, a model name. The AI keeps it exactly as written.
- Always translated one way: a term with its own translation, such as a tagline the way your company renders it in Persian.
The columns
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Term | The word or phrase. Matching ignores upper and lower case. |
| Language | All languages, or one language. An entry for one language wins over an All languages entry for the same term. |
| Translation | Required, unless you tick Never translate this term. |
| Notes | For your colleagues; the AI does not read them. |
How it works
Before a text goes to the AI, each glossary term in it is replaced by a placeholder, and put back afterwards: a "never translated" term as written, a mapped term as its translation. The AI never sees the word, so it cannot change it.
Good to know
- It applies to AI translation only. It does not change what a person types, and it does not touch what is already translated.
- An empty list says "No terms yet" and suggests adding your brand and product names.
- Delete asks first: "“term” will no longer be protected from translation."
- Viewing needs View Translations; adding, editing and deleting need Edit Translations.
- The list lives under Translations; the AI pages open from buttons in the key browser's header.
