You will have a term that the AI never changes, in every language.
Before you start
You need Edit Translations.
Steps
- Open Translations, then the AI Translation Glossary (the button in the key browser's header).
- Press Add term.
- Type the Term exactly as it is written (case does not matter).
- Tick Never translate this term.
- Leave Language on All languages, unless the rule is for one language.
- Add a note for colleagues if useful, and press Save. "Term saved".
To make a term come out one way every time, leave the box unticked and write the Translation for that language instead.
What you will see
The term appears in the list with Never translated. The next Translate with AI keeps it as written, in pages, posts, products, courses and every other kind of text.
If something goes wrong
- "Give the translation, or mark the term as one that is never translated."
- Texts that are already translated are not changed. Fix them by hand or clear them and run Translate with AI again.
- A term for one language beats the same term set for All languages.
- To stop protecting a term, press Delete and confirm.
