How do I go back to the original text?

You will have deleted your own wording for a text, so the shipped one shows again.

Before you start

You need the Restore Translations permission. Having only Edit is not enough: restoring is separate because it deletes your wording.

Steps

1. Open Translations, choose the language, and tick Only overridden to list your changes.
2. Press Edit on the row.
3. Press Restore and confirm.

What you will see

The Override badge disappears and the text shows the shipped wording again, within about a minute on every copy of the site.

If something goes wrong

• Without the permission the button says it needs Restore Translations.
• Restoring brings back the text that ships with the software for that language. If the shipped text is missing in that language, the row becomes Missing.
• Restoring cannot be undone, but you can save your wording again.
